Earlier this evening, Roland Emmerich and the cast of the Independence Day sequel gathered for a Q&A from the set of the film. Not only did they reveal the title of the film, Independence Day: Resurgence (not “Independence Day 2: Fifth of July” or “Independence Day 2: Electric Boogaloo”, as we may have hoped), the folks behind the 20-years-later sequel shared details on the plot, production, and process of making a follow-up to such a beloved sci-fi classic.
Luckily, our trusty senior editor Dan Casey was on hand in New Mexico, fending off giant bugs to bring us the latest from the Independence Day set. We’ve gathered a few select tweets from our clever pal’s live tweet, but make sure you check out all the event’s tidbits over on his Twitter @osteoferocious.
