After Hydra agents seized the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron and leaked it online last week, Marvel immediately followed it with an official HD release, fans were left wondering what was left to debut on last night’s episode of Agents of SHIELD. Fortunately, the answer arrived in the form of a preview scene, in which our heroes, while celebrating their awesomeness, demonstrate their limitless levels of testosterone by attempting, one after the other, to raise mighty Mjolnir, the hallowed hammer of Thor. Needless to say, their efforts amounted to nil. But their revelry is soon interrupted by the introduction of the film’s villain, Ultron himself, quoting, as he does in the trailer, Pinocchio‘s “I’ve Got No Strings” in spectacularly creepy fashion. Now we’ve got the whole scene just waiting for you to watch and rewatch it!
Nice to see Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes palling around with the team — and everyone looking tanned, rested, and ready for the perils that await them…

Hm… Probably because Tony built Ultron (it was actually AntMan but I guess Marvel isn’t going that route) and when Ultron realized that he had to wipe out humanity Thor probably blames Tony a little for it.

Am I the only one that noticed that when Cap grabbed the hammer it moved just a millimeter or so, and Thor glanced at the hammer with a funny look. I figure if anyone would be “worthy” it would be Captain America.

Sorry but that tidbit of Cap bein’ able to move The Hammer was leaked from some comic con whose name I can’t recall. Nice that they included the scene, tho.

To be fair, Cap is one of the few people who has been shown to be worthy in the comics, so it’s to be expected.

I loved the nod to the comics when Steve tried the hammer and it budged ever so slightly. The look on Thor’s face was priceless.
