Hot Toys’ 12-Inch Rey Will Get a Sweet, In-Scale Ride

The intense popularity of Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ scavenger-turned-Jedi-wannabe led many fans to ask the question: Where’s Rey? Toy companies hadn’t prepared for demand, and her Black Series action figure has already gotten a second run with a lightsaber added. But before long, the answer to “Where’s Rey?” will be “Atop her awesome speeder.” That’s because Hot Toys just announced they’re making it, and what looks like another Rey variant figure to properly pilot it.

Though the speeder has been compared to both a flash drive and a fudgesicle, the actual design inspiration for what Hot Toys calls a “powerful repulsorlift vehicle” is a tractor, minus the wheels (and unbound by speed limits, we assume). It is also a godsend for toy companies, as it’s a vehicle you can make for larger scale figures without taking up the whole living room or charging a grand (a price hasn’t been announced, but we’re going to assume and pray it won’t break a thousand bucks).

Hot Toys also recently announced a Resistance Outfit Rey, and with her, a teaser for their next figure reveal…

Is that the Force Awakening, or am I just happy to see my namesake Jedi master at last? I’m aware that secrecy probably kept Lucasfilm from showing certain spoiler details to toy companies lest they leak, but to not have either Luke or Supreme Commander Snoke yet in toy form is an injustice that needs righting. Though I dread the price-tag of an in-scale hologram Snoke.

How many portions would you pay for Rey’s speeder? Let us know in comments.
