While we wait for the game to start — you’re watching, right? No? Heathen! — let’s check on what we know is coming up on the Nerdist Podcast Network this week. Oh, hey, look:
By popular demand, it’s a hostful Nerdist Podcast. The band’s back together for the first hostful of the new year, in which everyone’s really busy, Spaceballs is obsessed upon, posters are remembered, and Dave Matthews and smoked meat (non-Canadian division) are discussed.
Old pal of Nerdist Adam Cayton-Holland is Jonah’s guest on The Jonah Keri Podcast, promoting The Grawlix guys’ Those Who Can’t on TruTV. You’ll remember, perhaps, the pilot the Denver comedy trio (Adam, Ben Roy, and Andrew Orvedahl) made at Amazon a few years ago about teachers at a fictional Colorado high school — we featured it here — and it’s now a full series on TruTV debuting Thursday (2/11). You’ll hear Adam talk about the process that led to the development of the series, comedy, high school, mental illness, and lots more. Oh, and Jonah proudly brings back that signature segment, “My Team Is A Joke.” Speaking of which, I imagine Adam is presently about to explode with Broncos fever as kickoff nears….
TV writer Bridget Carpenter will be talking about her work on Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, and the new 11/22/63 on The Writers Panel.
You’ll hear Wayne Federman, noted comic and creator of the Wayne Federman International Film Festival, on a new Love, Alexi.
And more, including episodes of many of your favorites. Of course. You’ll find ’em at the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page, where you’ll get the first word on what’s new, and links to listen and subscribe, both of which you should do. Now, excuse me while I go check on how my annual Super Bowl Chili is doing. It isn’t a Super Bowl without my Super Bowl Chili. No, you can’t have my recipe.
