Bates Motel Renewed for Seasons Four and Five
Good news, horror friends: Bates Motel has been renewed for a fourth and fifth season! Even better? All 20 episodes will air in 2016. Hooray! I happen to be a big fan of the original series, although I was admittedly skeptical at first. Aside from what I thought was an anticlimactic season finale, the rest of Season Three was tense, exciting, and incredibly well acted. I can’t wait to see where the series goes!
Netflix Orders Original Supernatural Genre Series
Netflix is getting back into the horror game. The streaming service has ordered an original series, formerly titled Montauk, from Wayward Pines writers the Duffer brothers. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series takes place in the 1980’s and revolves around a little boy gone missing in addition to “top secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl.” EW also reports that Winona Ryder has joined the cast as the mother of the boy gone missing. The series is expected to premiere in 2016.
