Hockey Puck Meets Hydraulic Press, Explodes

In Soviet Union, you not only crush opponent on ice, you also crush puck so that opponent may never again play hockey. Because puck is destroyed. Maybe though they have more than one puck? It is tough here we only have the one. Still, larger point remain. We will annihilate your puck.

What? You watch this video from the Hydraulic Press Channel and tell me you aren’t doing your best Russian accent and talking about how you are “very confident our press will crush this hockey puck.”

And crush it how!

A hockey puck is nothing more than a very dense piece of rubber (in fact at any high level hockey game they are kept in a freezer to keep them from bouncing to much when they hit the ice), but this hydraulic press was having none of that. First it just completely caved the puck in, and then made it explode.

This is our new favorite YouTube channel. If the videos were completely silent they would still be great, but when you throw in the no-nonsense narration combined with his wonderful accent it’s just the perfect destruction video. I very much enjoyed the cackling that followed the puck’s obliteration. It’s nice to see we can come together across generations and borders in the wholesome glee of needlessly destroying things with powerful toys.

Make sure you check out some of their earlier videos, which we wrote about last week. You’ll never be able to look at a Barbie doll the same way again.

Next up? I want him to go big or go home: a bowling ball. He’s gained 100,000+ subscribers in less than a week; let’s keep the crush train a rollin’.

What do you want to see next against the currently undefeated hydraulic press? Tell us in the comments below.
