X Japan is coming to Madison Square Garden in October, according to frontman Yoshiki.

The band will be hitting the city on October 11th after Yoshiki wraps up his solo, 13-city/10 country Classical World Tour (which just passed through San Francisco).

Visual kei band X Japan has been around in some form or another since 1982, bringing the rock/glam thing to the east while maintaining a steady following among would-be vampires the world over.

This morning’s press release didn’t reveal if any additional X Japan dates were planned or when the Madison Square Garden tickets would go on sale.
