Hey, Blockheads! It’s “The Lego Movie” Trailer!

Beating K’NEX to the punch, Warner Bros/Village Roadshow’s The Lego Movie is coming in 2014 with a tagline boasting, “In 2014, the world’s greatest heroes will join forces for the biggest movie ever assembled.” It’s no joke – thanks to some extensive licensing, everyone from Batman to Superman to Wonder Woman to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the 2002 NBA All-Stars (including Lakers-era Shaq) will be making appearances.

The film’s comedy pedigree only gets better from there, as writer-directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street/Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs) lead a voice cast including Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Charlie Day, Alison Brie and more. Here’s hoping that they include a scene of a sleepy adult accidentally stepping on a LEGO and unleashing the unholiest string of curse words this side of an R rating.

What do you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments below!

I love Legos! I’ve been into Legos since 1974. I have a vast Legoland on the floor of my living room, a Lego train running through the whole apartment, those giant 3,000 piece Star Wars ships sets. There is nothing Lego can do wrong.
Except this movie. I’d rather pass a series of extra pointy and bumpy Legos through my colon than sit through this steaming pile of crap.

  2. Parker says:

This is like a full-length fan piece done by super talented big names. This is GREAT. It’s what every kid who grew up playing with Legos has done. Star Wars and Indiana Jones going to be in there?

  3. Josh says:

Nothing can stop me from seeing this opening night.

  4. Kind of reminds me of LEGO City Undercover, except they’ve got real Morgan Freeman instead of fake Morgan Freeman.

  5. Donald says:

I’ll gladly sit through a “commercial” if it has this many amazing people involved in it.

@CJ the money for Superman 2 and the Justice League is already there, it’s not like they had a meeting saying “Alright guys, out of these three movies, which one are we gonna make?”

  6. michaelalexkawa says:

The movie seems fun ,but talk about a BIG TOY ADVERTISEMENT .
Back in 1986 Transformers The Movie ,got criticized for making a big commercial ,anyone who have seen the movie knows how wrong that statement was . Yes there was a toy tie in ,and it was made to promote the next line of figures .

  7. CJ says:

I can see this going straight to the $5 bin @ Walmart …. and I think the $ wasted on this should’ve been spent on pre-production for a 2nd Superman film and the 1st Justice League film ….
