Here’s What a Chris Pratt-Starring INDIANA JONES Movie Could Be

Andy Dwyer evolved into Star-Lord, who in turn evolved into a handsome raptor wrangler in Jurassic World. Based on everything we know about Pokemon, that should be the logical conclusion of Chris Pratt’s evolution. But, apparently the Internet’s collective boyfriend is being eyed for something even greater than a Blastoise or a Charizard or a Machamp. According to reports, Chris Pratt is being eyed by Disney to play Indiana Jones.

Our thoughts exactly, Andy. This may not come as a surprise to many of you; Pratt’s name has been tossed around ever since it was announced that Disney acquired the Indiana Jones rights from Paramount in 2013. Still, the prospect of a Pratt-led Indiana Jones flick had us wondering exactly what the future might hold. With a number of unproduced Indiana Jones scripts already floating around out there in the ether (like Frank Darabont’s Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods and other, crazier titles like Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men From Mars), there is plenty of material to be mined. So, where would a film like this fall within the larger Indiana Jones canon?

Well, ask and ye shall receive. Join Jessica Chobot as she explains exactly what may be in store for Chris Pratt when he picks up the iconic whip and fedora, whether or not it will be a hard reboot of the series, and much more.

Are you a fan of Chris Pratt taking over the role of Indiana Jones? What would you like to see from a new Indy movie? Let us know in the comments below, and give us your best, most ridiculous sequel name while you’re there.

  1. Drew says:

I want to belong to House Chobot!  #GiveawayOfThrones  (I don’t use Twitter and I’d rather have some other cool prize.  😀 )

  2. #3UG0T&1JF4N says:

I’m hoping it won’t be awful, that’s my only request ^ And if it would be possible to ship to EU for later contests, I would be so happy!

  3. Mark says:

Harrison Ford has already signed on to do Indiana Jones Five…He would be making it after Star Wars VII AND the new Blade Runner project so Chris will have a long time to learn how to handle that whip.
If Chris Pratt or anyone else did an ‘Indy’ movie no one will see it until at least 2020, more likely 2022. That’s a long time to be excited about a movie that may or may not get made.

  4. Rich says:

I agree we need a different way to enter. I just don’t have the narcissistic need for twitter.

  5. Mark says:

Nobody wants James Franco as Indiana Jones?

  6. Chris says:

Another Indy movie as long as it’s not another Crystal Skull fiasco

  7. Jessica says:

I’m cool with Chris Pratt as Dr. Jones, but I hate with a burning passion the bullshit with the aliens. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a travesty and should be set on fire. (Yes I mean every damn copy in existence)

  8. mikedudez says:

NO MORE NO MORE I CANT STAND IT!!!!! no more reboots  i cant take it. just more cannon fodder for the people who hated the last movie. no more!! no more!! no more!!!

  9. Matt Combes says:

Any chance to get a non-Twitter way to enter? Also, I’m totally on board with Pratt as a new Indy. Boy’s got the chops.

  10. Isabel says:

Only for USA?  Come on, let Canadians enter please.

  11. Portercat says:

“Where is the Orb, ahem, I mean headpiece, Marion”

  12. Zack Knapton says:

I think they need to stop rehashing old movies and come up with something new and original for once!

  13. diz says:

They should just do it a line of story’s befor temple raider etc.. He’s younger already done with school blah blah blah

  14. Garrett B. says:

I’d like to be living in House Martell during these cold, winter days. But let’s be honest, I’m living in House Tyrell because my feelings toward that crown are “Growing Strong.”

  15. Michael Sacal says:

Pratt should be Henry Jones the IV and his adventures should take place in the 21st Century in the Middle East, with extremist Muslims as the bad guys.

  16. crispitweets says:

I kinda got stuck on that speck of glitter on Jessica’s forehead… clearly flashing at 0:49… but YES to Chris Pratt as Indy!
