Step aside, Dr. Doofenshmirtz: you’re not the only one dealing with adolescent angst. The teenage kids of Disneyâs most notorious villains are coming to Disney Channel in 2015 as part of a new original movie.
Directed by Kenny Ortega (High School Musical, Gilmore Girls), these high-schoolers are the children of Disneyâs classic characters â most notably its villains. In fact, Nerdist recently spoke to Kristin Chenowith about playing Maleficent.
Here’s a little teaser trailer — you can spot the villainous parents in the shadows.
According to Disney, the plot revolves around the teenage son of Belle and the Beast (from… do I really have to tell you? Beauty and the Beast). As he prepares to ascend the throne, he declares that the spawn of Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmations), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), The Evil Queen (Snow White), and Jafar (Aladdin), who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island, will be allowed into the kingdom to attend a prep school alongside the children of the Fairy Godmother (Cinderella), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Rapunzel (Tangled) and Mulan (again – do I have to tell you? Mulan). There, Carlos (Cameron Boyce), Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson) and Jay (Booboo Stewart) will have the chance to redeem themselves and prove that they can be good. OR CAN THEY?
Which Disney Villain’s kid would you like to see in this series? How about Madame Medusa from The Rescuers? Can you bring pet alligators to school? Let us know in the comments below.

I can’t wait for this to come out, so excited to see it! P.S. for all who thinks its not a show- this is a movie.
I’m not trying to be mean but this is a lot based on Ever After High I do like Descendants and it seems really awesome I’m looking forward to watching it but it’s like stealing the EAH idea
I feel like I’ve seen dolls and a cartoon about this oN Netflix and YouTube.
But it was by Mattel and its called Ever After High…
This has some potential, like I will watch it mostly because I adore the directors work and also I have watched all of the Disney channel original movies up until this point. I also like that Disney is finally doing more with their villains so I don’t feel like a Tv movie, and show is the best way to go and least it’s something.
Marvel’s The Runaways?
I don’t get it. is it a series or an original movie? the article starts with it being the latter then ends with it being a series. cause if it’s a movie then you can’t really add any more characters unless a sequel is made but if it’s a series, then I’d want to see Anna and Kristoff’s children attend the school (obvious frozen fan lol) and maybe even the kids of gaston? to have an evil counterpart to the son of belle and beast haha
Why would I give a shit about Cruela’s kid? At least the others have powers, what does he have fur?
so they’re doing Ever After High.
Mad Madam Mim (Sword in the Stone) needs a crazy son with a few screws loose. And I want to see the voodoo daughter of Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog).
Ok, I’m intrigued. It’s better than another show about some teenager living in an upperclass home dealing with first world problems.
I’m also shocked Disney wouldn’t use the opportunity to milk Frozen some more.
Eh, both those characters are too old to be in high school and too young-ish to have kids (for today’s disney standards)
someone has to be gay common….!!!!
Oh fuck off asshole
If Booboo Stewart does not have an older brother named Yogi, I shall lose all faith in America.
OH my It’s Ever After High!
right?! My daughter is going to be all over this!
Congratulations to Disney for coming up with the LAMEST idea for a TV show in 2015.
This has some potential. Albeit small it could be better than what they release from in recent years and may a candle to old school Disney ( the small circular candles not a big one)it wont be anywhere near the orginal but it may come closer than ever
wait it a tv show?
Have you not heard about the extremely popular Ever After High dolls, books and cartoon? Disney is just jumping into the bandwagon.
Ursula even though tentacles are creepy.
