Here’s Over 16 Minutes of MAFIA III Gameplay

If you were dying to see the Mafia III footage that was shown off at Gamescom and Tokyo Gamescom, we’ve got great news. 2K and Hanger 13 have decided to release the gameplay demo for all those that missed out on the 16 glorious minutes. For the uninitiated, Mafia III puts you in the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam vet who’s on a mission to get revenge on the Italian Mob. The open-world location you’ll be exploring, New Bordeaux, is a reimagining of New Orleans, set in 1968, so you know it has plenty of style. In this demo we get to watch Lincoln take out one of Sal Marcano’s underbosses. Feast your eyes on the clip above!

If that demo doesn’t get you excited about creating and maintaining a fictional crime family, I don’t know what will. The open-world also looks massive, and the different districts seem to have different vibes. How the game takes advantage of the different locations could lead to some interesting gameplay moments. It’s also great to hear that there are criminal ecologies that’ll play a role in Lincoln’s quest for revenge, and did I mention that everything looks absolutely gorgeous? Hanger 13 could have something special here.

Oh yeah, the action also looks brutal! Mafia III will hit store shelves on October 7, 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Did you enjoy the 16 minutes of gameplay? Does the revenge story interest you? Will you be purchasing this game when it finally launches? How do you like the reimagined New Orleans? How badass is Lincoln? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below!
