Hellboy Unleashes His Inner Demon in a New INJUSTICE 2 Trailer

Hellboy was born to destroy the world, but he choose a more heroic path as a member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Now, Hellboy has come to an alternate Earth that is in desperate need of a few heroes. Injustice 2‘s first Hellboy gameplay trailer has arrived, and the world’s greatest paranormal investigator is bringing all of his tricks to the table.

Mike Mignola‘s signature creation is the first non-Mortal Kombat character to invade the realm of Injustice 2, and hopefully he won’t be the last! Born in the bowels of Hell, his true name is Anung Un Rama and he wears the invisible crown of the Apocalypse upon his head. Within this new footage, Hellboy occasionally lets his inner demon loose, which not only renders his crown visible, it also briefly restores his demonic horns.

The trailer appears to demonstrate that Hellboy is using a few of his BPRD gadgets and mystical armaments in his fight against the corrupted DC heroes and villains. Hellboy’s indestructible Right Hand of Doom is also quite useful when he’s bringing the pain. You may have also noticed that he’s less than impressed by it all. After facing Lovecraftian gods, there’s really not much that can phase Hellboy anymore.

Hellboy’s super move literally drags his opponents to Hell and back, even as it awakens his demonic heritage. That clip appears to be shortened for this video, but we’re eager to see it fully play out when Hellboy makes his Injustice 2 debut on November 14.

Are you excited about the immanent arrival of Hellboy? Let’s discuss in the comment section below!
