Heinz Super Bowl Ad: WIENER STAMPEDE Brings the Ketchups Together

The phrase “There’s something you don’t see every day” can get thrown around a lot, to the point where it’s almost meaningless. Seeing a bunch of wiener dogs in hot dog costumes running through a field towards anthropomorphic condiments is what will keep the phrase alive and well.

The wiener dogs just want someone to love them and take care of them. What better “people” to do that then those that will “smother” them with love…and some relish…and maybe some onions if they are available.

This is the latest in Heinz’ commercial series “The Ketchups,” where the famous toppings take human form and get into sitcom-like shenanigans with of course a condiment theme. There’s BBQ, sriracha, The classic glass bottle, the new squeeze bottle, yellow mustard, baby ketchup packet, organic, and Simply Heinz. For those asking, Simply Heinz uses sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. But don’t kid yourself. If you are smothering something in ketchup, you are not exactly in a “healthy eating” sort of mood. I will say this: you CAN tell the difference between Heinz and the store brand of ketchup. It’s worth the extra dollar.

You can check out the rest of Heinz “The Ketchups” series on their YouTube channel here.

So what do you think? Aren’t those dogs the cutest things ever? Which Heinz flavor is your favorite? Did you even know they made sriracha? Let me know on Twitter or spill ketchup all over your new white shirt in the comments below.
