HEARTHSTONE: HEROES OF WARCRAFT Now Available On Android Tablets

There’s one thing I’m sure most individuals who have taken anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour to play Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft can agree on: separating from the game for long periods of time is pretty damn difficult. For some folks, this has lead to everything from intense withdrawals, cold shivers, and well… this:

The one thing that has prevented me personally from putting more time into the game is the fact that, outside of my laptop, the game has only been available on iOS platforms. This changes today, however, because Blizzard just announced that Hearthstone has become officially available for Android tablets in select regions, and will be rolling out worldwide in the coming days. Now even more smart device users can succumb to the will of the almighty Hearthstone bug. If you own an Android tablet, you should probably check the Google Play and the Amazon App stores STAT!

“Hearthstone’s intuitive interface and approachable design make it a perfect fit for tablets, and we’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring players have a great experience on a wide range of Android devices,” stated Blizzard CEO and cofounder Mike Morhaime in today’s press release. “We’re excited to welcome Android players to the Hearthstone community, and we’re looking forward to bringing the game to even more mobile platforms—including phones—in the future.”

Still no word on when the game will become available on Android smartphones, so there’s likely a good number of Android users who will have to wait before they get their on-the-go Hearthstone solution. Hearthstone just recently received its first ever expansion titled Goblins vs Gnomes, and it adds over 120 new cards, as well as brand spanking new minions called Mechs.
