Relationships of any sort are tricky and delicate things, and can easily go from great to ghastly with a single verbal faux-pas. But stillâwe all want love and to feel that deep emotional connection. Why do you think Sam Smith‘s music resonates so much with people? Particularly his monster hit single “Stay With Me.” We’ve all been there â wanting, needing, desiring that connection with another human person, desperate for a bit of love. For those other moments in life, allow Mean Girls‘ Daniel Franzese to show you the flip side of that through song with his parody ditty “Please Go Home.”
Featuring the sonic stylings of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, Franzese and his co-star in the clip, Adrian Anchondo, replay the sort of varied feelings that happen when a one night stand you may or may not already regret begins to prolong their stay beyond what is preferable. Because for as fervently as you may have wanted them the night before, so too is the desire you feel to have them rid themselves from your bed, apartment, and maybe also life, too. At least for right now.
And even if you haven’t ever had a one night stand, surely the desire to have someone get the eff out is relatable regardless of the sexcapades that may or may not have been involved. We’re all human after all, I mean jeez.
What other moments from Sam Smith’s songs could be parodied you think? Let us hear ’em in the comments!
