Have a Rebellious Holiday With These ROGUE ONE Snowflake Designs

Thanksgiving is officially behind us, which means that it has finally reached that socially acceptable time to begin decorating your home for the holiday season (this is especially important if you’re like me and have been going full Buddy the Elf on the DL since November 1). While Christmas trees, wreaths, and twinkling lights are classic pieces of holiday decor, it’s always fun to integrate your holiday cheer with your favorite fandom, and with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting movie theaters on December 16, it only makes sense to settle in for some rebellious, inter-galactic, holiday crafting. Namely, some Rogue One snowflake designs.

Our friends at Laughing Squid first tipped us off to the fantastic designs by graphic designer Anthony Herrera. Whether you’re wanting to create a wintry scene in your home of Jyn Erso snowflakes, you want to take things to the Dark Side with a flurry of Death Troopers, or you want a paper blizzard of AT-ACTs and droids galore, Herrera’s got a snowflake design for you.

The designs can accommodate just about every skill level, and if you aren’t feeling steady with your paper and scissors, there is even a video tutorial where Herrera walks you through creating some of his other Star Wars snowflakes to help you get the idea of how to create your very own Rogue One flakes.

You can download the designs for free on Herrera’s website, and you can share your rebellious designs and check out the snowflake efforts of other Star Wars fans with the hashtag #StarWarsSnowFlakes. Of course, this isn’t Hererra’s first foray into the world of Star Wars-themed snowflakes. He’s been creating snowflake designs to a galaxy far, far away since 2012, so be sure to check those out as you plan out your holiday decor and crafting!

Have you mare any of Herrera’s Star Wars snowflakes before? How did it go? Leave your crafting fails, crafting successes, and any tips for newbies in the comments!
