As the release date of Solo: A Star Wars Story draws ever closer, we’ve had a question on our minds: “What is a man without his best friend?” In the case of Han Solo, he’s still a scruffy yet charming smuggler with a killer smile and a cool vest. But no story about said smuggler would be complete without his Wookiee co-pilot and best friend, Chewie.

To celebrate the special relationship Han and Chewbacca share, we collected all our favorite GIFs in one place and some helpful suggestions for when to deploy them.

If “Laugh and the Wookiee laughs with you” isn’t already a common expression, it probably should be.

After all, we’re well aware that laughter is a big part of Han and Chewie’s friendship…
