GUNS N’ ROSES Announce Reunion Tour with Surprise Concert

Marking the first time Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan have played together since their July 17, 1993 performance in Buenos Aires, Guns N’ Roses put on a surprise show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Friday night. They’ve also announced the Not in This Lifetime reunion tour, featuring Axl, Slash, Duff, and other returning band members including Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, and Frank Ferrer, plus Melissa Reese making her Guns N’ Roses debut. The tour will begin at Detroit’s Ford Field on June 23, 2016 and will span 20 cities in two months, concluding at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium.

First off, the concert. They tried to ban cameras and cell phones at the venue, but hey, you can’t get fans not to post! YouTube user rossthebassist posted a video featuring clips from the show, which proves that Axl still has the pipes that made him famous. Other fans posted pics on Instagram as well. The trio was joined by keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and new keyboardist Melissa Reese.

How amazing do they sound in that video clip? Why do venues even try to keep people from bringing in cell phones? It never works.
