After starring in Marvel’s surprise breakout hit in 2014, the Guardians of the Galaxy are coming back next month in their much anticipated sequel. Unlike the original movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has the advantage of arriving with a full array of merchandising, including LEGO playsets based on the film. Now, one fan has taken the next logical step and remade the latest trailer for the sequel with LEGOs.
Earlier this week, Huxley Berg Studios released a meticulous LEGO recreation of the final trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. On his YouTube page, Berg wrote, “I recreated this trailer top to bottom and spent many hours on this. Some the best animation and set building I have ever done! So I hope you all enjoy it!!!” It should be noted that Berg used stop-motion animation to bring this trailer together, and we’re impressed by how well it retains the humor and spirit of the movie.
Additionally, Berg posted a side-by-side comparison on the final Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer and his LEGO recreation. Somehow, it’s even more fun to watch this way!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released on Friday, May 5. Given Berg’s history of recreating Marvel movie scenes in LEGO, we may even see more of that film recreated with LEGOs. In the meantime, you can check out Berg’s YouTube channel here.
