“Where a walk down Main Street, blah blah blah.”
Rocket Raccoon isn’t hating on Disneyland with that statement, he just has a more important message to send. In a video posted to Twitter, the feisty trash panda has hacked a schmoopy commercial for the happiest place on Earth to ask for help. He and the other Guardians have been trapped by The Collector, and guests of the Disneyland Resort are tasked with saving the day by busting Rocket and his pals out in the upcoming attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy â Mission: BREAKOUT!
Watch Rocket’s plea:
Oh my stars, what I would pay to see a real-life Rocket Raccoon running around the parks and giving guests a hard time. Disney would get so many angry complaints.
Anyway. Serious trouble’s brewing at Taneleer Tivan’s museum-like fortress. If you’re up for venturing forth and rescuing the Guardians, mark your calendars for May 27. The Collector’s doors will open that day at Disney’s California Adventure. Nerdist took a tour of the joint in April and noticed fans will be able to hunt for Easter eggs in the queue before they try to hunt for the heroes in one of six possible scenarios on the ride.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the uh, irreverent attitude of Star-Lord and co. meshes with the saccharine sweetness of Disney Parksâthis ad is certainly helping. Given this ride’s likely stomach-turning mechanics, I’ll have to ingest motion sickness medicine before I check it out, but hey, it’s the least I can do for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Will you be making a beeline to Disneyland Resort to get in another line for Guardians of the Galaxy â Mission: BREAKOUT!? Leap to the comments and let me know what you’re most looking forward to about the attraction.
