If you ate as much turkey as I did this Thanksgiving weekend, you’re probably still having trouble keeping your eyes open. But today’s Movie Morsels has just the thing to pop your peepers, including the very latest footage from what looks to be this holiday season’s biggest blockbuster: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. We’ve also got a new promo video for Assassin’s Creed, a new photo from Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, and much more to send those Monday morning blues packing!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Did you catch the Disneyâs Magical Holiday Celebration TV special that aired on ABC this weekend? If not, you missed some new footage from what could very well be the best damn Star Wars movie since 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back. Ah, but because we love you folks so darn much, we’ve got the video for you to watch below. It features a little more of Jyn Erso’s back story, more of Alan Tudyk’s droid K-2SO (now that Tudyk’s in both the Firefly and Star Wars universes, can we please get him in the new Star Trek series?), and more of Donnie Yen’s blind warrior Chirrut Ãmwe. Now take a look at this thing and tell me you’re not excited.
By the way, in case you haven’t heard, Rogue One tickets are now on sale! You can check out the various promotions offered a different theater chains at StarWars.com. To help you celebrate, here’s a new TV spot, laden with Darth Vader’s iconic heavy breathing.
Assassin’s Creed
While it’s not quite as eagerly awaited as Rogue One, there are still a helluva lot of video game fans out there wondering if Assassin’s Creed could finally be the first really good film adaptation of a beloved game franchise. To help you in your attempts at figuring it all out, here’s a brand-new TV spot for the December 21st release, starring my best friend (he just doesn’t know it yet) Michael Fassbender in the dual role of assassin Aguilar de Nerha and his descendant Callum Lynch…

Beauty and the Beast
Whether or not you think Emma Watson looks like Disney’s Belle in director Bill Condon’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s classic Beauty and the Beast, there’s no denying that Watson has the character’s body language down pat. Just check out her subtle posture as she stands opposite Luke Evans’ Gaston in the latest still from the film, courtesy of Empire…

Fences
I’ve gotta be honest. It’s been a while since I was genuinely curious about a new Denzel Washington vehicle, but August Wilson’s play Fences is such a revered work of American drama that I can’t help but be excited by the upcoming film adaptation, directed by Washington and scripted by Wilson himself. Especially since it co-stars the always amazing Viola Davis. Here’s the latest trailer for the film, arriving in theaters on Christmas Day…
