Drones are fast becoming more and more prevalent in our daily lives. But while they can occasionally be annoying or even offer threats to our collective privacy, drones also have an amazing potential to take us to places that we could never reach on our own. As an example, a newly released video offers a stunning look at a mountain the we likely would have never seen otherwise.
Via Gizmodo, a YouTube user named Gab707 posted a video of a drone flight over the east ridge of the mountain called Hübschhorn; which is located in Switzerland’s Lepontine Alps. The video is set to a piece of music called “Donna Lucia” from Thomas Newman’s Spectre score, and it created a very serene and otherworldly sensation when paired with the footage from the mountain. We’ve watched the clip several times now, and it seems like we notice something new every time.
One of the key reasons that this video looks so amazing is that the drone used the Reelsteady stabilization;Â and the results were so powerful that the clip wouldn’t have looked out of place in a feature film.
On his YouTube page, Gab707 left the following message with this video: “Another year passes by, and I’m so amazed at how much things have changed! Thanks to everyone for an amazing year, thanks for the love and support. Please sit back, crank up the volume and enjoy this moment :). To 2017!”
