Gordon Finally Starts to Suspect Nygma in New GOTHAM Clip (Exclusive)

Is the jig finally up for Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) on Gotham?

The future Riddler has so far gone unnoticed in his killing spree during the first half of season two, “Rise of the Villains.” But it looks like his time has come during the second half, “Wrath of the Villains,” and Nerdist has your exclusive first look at the beginning of the end for Nygma!

When Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) starts to notice that Nygma’s ex-girlfriend Kristen Kringle (Chelsea Spack) hasn’t been cashing in her paychecks, little alarm bells go off in his head. He starts to look into her possible disappearance in this Monday’s episode, “Wrath of the Villains: This Ball of Mud and Meanness.” While his first move is to informally question Nygma about the last time he saw Kristen, he’s not officially suspicious of his coworker. But when Gordon starts to dig deeper, will he suspect that something is fishy about Nygma? Or will Nygma be able to successfully pin Kristen’s murder on her ex-boyfriend, aka the first person Nygma killed?

The all-new episode also features Alfred (Sean Pertwee) and Selina (Camren Bicondova) deciding to help Bruce (David Mazouz) on his quest to find his parents’ killer, Patrick “Matches” Malone (guest star Michael Bowen, a Breaking Bad alum). Meanwhile, Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) continues his treatment to reduce Penguin’s (Robin Lord Taylor) aggression. Orange Is the New Black‘s Lori Petty also guest stars as Jeri, a punk rock singer who helps Bruce make an important connection.

Are you surprised it’s taken Gordon this long to realize something’s up with Nygma? Tweet me your thoughts at @SydneyBucksbaum!
