Ghosts Come Home in FOLLOWED FROM THE MANSION

A couple of months back, I shared a short found-footage film called Missing in the Mansion, a spooky and effective ghost story shot guerrilla-style in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion attraction. Now, just in time for Halloween, filmmakers Josh and Jeremiah Daws have brought the horror home with their follow-up, Followed from the Mansion.

In the short, a terrified little boy is left in the care of his dad’s new wife, with whom the boy does not really get along. However, on this particular night, some of the familiar goings-on at the Disney attraction follow them home, just as the famous warning from the Ghost Host suggested. Maybe the hitchhiking ghost really did hitchhike.

The new short showcases some really terrific digital animation as well as some old-school camera tricks for a fun 7-minutes with happy haunts. For more of the Daws Brothers’ work, you can subscribe to their YouTube channel here. Paul Frees would be very proud.
