Super Bowl weekend isn’t just about crowning a champion, it’s about putting a big bow on the entire 2015 NFL season. So before Carolina and Denver meet on the field this Sunday, let’s look back at some of the sights and sounds from around the NFL this past year.
“You should be out there playing accordion.”
“We’re gonna put the ball at the third-and-whatever; I don’t want to measure.”
“You gotta make up your mind to use your brush every day.”
“I used to shave my furry ankles to win games. It wasn’t that fun you moron, don’t ever do that.”
“I have no doubt about it now: Krypton isn’t a planet.”
Uh…no, those are definitely not accurate. Though they sure are funny.
That’s because this is actually a video from the folks at Bad Lip Reading, using in-game highlights, sideline shots, and post-game interviews from the past year in the NFL. Although a few of them seem like they could in fact be accurate. For example, that’s the noise I imagine Eli Manning makes when he’s trying to yell, and I would absolutely believe you if you said an NFL coach was overheard screaming at the opponent, “We’ll fight y’all on Tiger Mountain.”
You might not think this has any bearing on the game this Sunday, but Carolina’s chances would be ruined if Cam Newton were to be bitten by a snake, so he should definitely stay away from any places they might be.
