It’s Thursday everybody and you know what that means. We’ve nearly survived another week and are on our way to playing video games all weekend. If playing Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor didn’t come to mind, maybe now it will as it has received a precious new update which in addition to a few other things, allows you to show off your battle skills in a brand new photo mode. Also, Eiji Aonuma wants Mario Kart 8’s Master Cycle in future Zelda games and we’re curious about what that means for the series. Share your beautiful creations with Shadow of Mordor‘s new image editor.
While walking into Mordor may not be simple, snapping cool shots of it has become just that thanks to the update to the game that went live last night for both the PS4 and Xbox One. The patch includes a new feature which gives players the ability to enter a photo editing mode similar to the ones found in both PlayStation exclusive titles inFAMOUS: Second Son and The Last of Us: Remastered.
Oddly enough, this new mode—which includes gritty filters, frames and several other features—does not allow users to save the images. Though the share button equipped PS4s fix this issue, Xbone owners are pitted with the problem of how to share their gory works of art. It has been suggested that users use the video capture feature which almost sounds like it’s more work than it’s worth.
If you’re worrying about not being able to do this on the PC version, don’t fret, Warner Bros. confirmed that the update will be made available soon.
Kabam and Warner Bros. Interactive Launch The Lord of The Rings: Legends of Middle-Earth
That’s right, more Middle-Earth news. Free-to-play publisher Kabam and Warner Bros. Interactive teamed up to release today a brand new role-playing and character collection game for mobile devices entitled The Lord of the Rings: Legends of Middle-Earth.
The game features the option to choose between playing as a Human, Hobbit, Dwarf or Elf  as well as several micro-transactions in the realm of $5 to $100. After being introduced to your objective via a certain well-loved wizard Gandalf, you’ll encounter the likes of Legolas, Frodo, Aragorn and Boromir who will aid you in your quest.
Eiji Aonuma wants to see Link’s MK8 DLC bike in future titles.
Hot off the heels (or should we say wheels), of The Master Cycle reveal, Aonuma has shared his views via Miiverse on the Epona-esque DLC coming to Mario Kart 8 next month. In his post, Aonuma-san slipped in comment that is sure to get Zelda enthusiast hearts pumping all over the world. According to the post, he wants the bike to appear in future titles.
While it is interesting to dream of a futuristic Hyrule, it’s always a good idea to stop and realize that Aonuma’s love of the design does not necessarily mean it is going to happen. It is however, a rather enticing possibility.
