It was a pretty busy day yesterday, thanks to Sony’s impressive TGS 2015 press briefing. But, seeing as we’re entering the fall/winter rush, there are a ton of updates to discuss today. On top of hit horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s getting it’s own RPG, and a new Attack on Titan PS4 gameplay video being released, there are a few more stories we think will interest you. In today’s Gaming Daily, new FIFA 16 trailer features unexpected athlete cameos, Minecraft Story Mode will be releasing October 13, Doom developers helped with Fallout 4’s weapon mechanics, Bethesda schools us on perception in the latest episode of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series, and The Last Guardian will be in Sony’s TGS booth after all. Is your head spinning yet? Let’s dive in!
Several athletes make cameos in new Fifa 16 trailer.
Although this year’s Madden 2016 trailer (and last year’s for that matter) is pretty unbeatable at this point, Fifa 16′s new ad, which you can check out above, sports a few fun athlete cameos that I think you’ll enjoy. As the title of this post indicates, both Pelé and Kobe Bryant, make surprise appearances. They’re also joined by the likes of Lionel Messi, Alex Morgan, Sergio Agüero.
I know, you’re probably humming “one of these things is not like the other” by now, but The Lakers’ Black Mamba is actually a known soccer fan who’s proclaimed his love for the sport on several occasions.
The video kicks off with a mocap session, a ton of fancy footwork, and then flashes back and forth between playing soccer and of course, a bit of Fifa. It’s, dare we say, beautiful. Consider us pumped to throw down in the pitch once the game hits shelves next week.

Minecraft Story Mode to release on October 13.
We’ve been building things for years in Mojang’s Minecraft, and now, it seems we’ll be tackling Minecraft: Story Mode pretty soon. The title, which features familiar voices like Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Paul Reubens, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Ashley Johnson, and more has finally been given a release date. The game is officially scheduled to release for Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on Tuesday, October 15, and will also find its way to both Android and iOS devices two days later on Thursday, October 15. Also, the PlayStation Vita and the Wii U will be getting the game later on.

Fallout 4 devs got help from id Software (DOOM, Rage) on weapon mechanics.
Although the video above was actually filmed back in June of this year during E3, Bethesda Softworks barely published it to their UK YouTube account yesterday. Though most of the discussion is pretty standard fair for an upcoming release, there were a couple of interesting gold nuggets tucked within, including the fact that fellow Bethesda studio id Software–of DOOM and Rage fame–were on hand to help with Fallout 4’s weapon mechanics.
According to game director Todd Howard, id was called in from an early stage to assist. He revealed, “Since id Software is part of our company, the first thing we did was call them. [We said] ‘alright, we’re going to do this from scratch, give us some tips.”
With both aim down sights, the ability to play in first and third person, and the V.A.T.S. system, the gunplay was been revamped. He stated, “If you were to pick it up and play [Fallout 4], it does feel like a modern shooter,” he said. “I won’t say anything bad about Fallout 3, but we wanted to not make any excuses for how the action felt in a role-playing game. We feel we can layer all of the role-playing and stat systems on top of that.”
From what we’ve seen so far, the game looks great. The wait for it’s November 10 release date is getting harder to bear.

Latest Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video focuses on perception.
Speaking of Fallout 4. After teaching us about the strength stat during the inaugural episode of the official S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series, Bethesda thought it was high time that we learned a thing or two about perception. As indicated by the animated short above, once raised, this particular skill raises shooting accuracy as well as your ability to loot locations and other people. Using the tactical VATS system, which scans enemies and informs you of their critical areas, you’ll be a tactical survivor in no time. Check out the video above and read our full post to learn more.

The Last Guardian will be at Sony’s TGS booth, but as an interactive display.
Despite announcing a bunch of titles during their press conference yesterday, Sony broke a lot of hearts by not mentioning The Last Guardian. Unfortunately I’m not here to tell you that we’ve heard more about the project, but rather that the title will make an appearance at Sony’s TGS booth after all. But, it’s not what you’d expect.
Instead of offering a gameplay demo, it seems GenDesign has instead opted for an interactive display. As you’ll see in the above gif, which was posted by the developer early this morning, stepping in front of the giant six meter screen will trigger movement from Guardian’s weird part cat, part bird, part awesome creature named Trico.
According to the developer, the life-sized version of Trico will be controlled by the same AI system utilized in the game. Although cool, it would have been better if actual gameplay was going to be available. Oh well, I guess there’s plenty of time for that later on. At least we finally know what they were hinting at on Twitter the other day.
