Monday is here and that means the dawn of another week in gaming news. Whether you’re working hard in school or trudging through another grueling work week, we’ve got you covered on everything video game related. In today’s Gaming Daily, Nintendo might get rid of region locks, EA Access subscribers will get their hands on Dragon Age: Inquisition early, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare reviews are in.Â
Nintendo may be doing away with region locks.
Well, it looks like Nintendo may finally be joining Microsoft and Sony in a region lock free world! According to an unofficial translation of last week’s investor Q&A, the Japanese giant is considering doing away with the unpopular policy which currently limits consumers to only purchasing games available in their region. In response to a question about the practice, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explained several reasons including marketing and license related issues that have kept the locks in place.
“As for what should be done going forward, if unlocked for the benefit of the customers, there may also be a benefit for us,” Iwata said. “Conversely, unlocking would require various problems to be solved, so while I can’t say today whether or not we intend to unlock, we realize that it is one thing that we must consider looking to the future.”
Though it is uncertain whether or not Nintendo will follow through with dropping region locks, it is certainly nice to see the company considering the option.

EA Access Members will be getting their hands on Dragon Age: Inquisition early.
If you’re looking forward to Dragon Age: Inquisition and are an EA Access member, you’ll be able to get your hands on the title November 13th– five days before launch. Don’t get too excited though because like earlier EA Access trials, you’ll only have six hours to begin your quest into Thedas.
According to a post on the EA Access Website, you’ll be able to create your character, form your Inquisition, explore the world and even jump into co-op multiplayer missions. Luckily, your  progress will be carried over once the full version is released.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to release November 18, 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is being hailed as the best COD game in years.
Reviews are in for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and boy do they look great. Aside from the first Black Ops, its safe to say the franchise has been in a downward slide since Modern Warfare 2. Luckily, it seems Sledgehammer Games has crafted something to halt that descent, and shoot the series into the future. Take a look at the scores from around the web:
US Gamer:Â 3.5/5
Polygon:Â 9/10
GamesRadar:Â 4/5
Joystiq:Â 5/5
GameSpot: 8/10
IGN:Â 9.1/10
Destructoid:Â 8/10
What’s most interesting about these reviews, however, is the fact that the often over-hyped franchise managed to sneak under the radar until release. Let’s hope Advanced Warfare has set a trend for the series’ future.
