Great Scott! It’s Back to the Future day, and what the films considered to be the future. Damnit, where’s my pizza hydrator at? Alright, jokes aside, the video game industry is definitely taking steps towards what once upon a time was deemed as only science fiction. Sure, we don’t have hoverboards, but soon, virtual reality technology will be mass produced and readily available. Enough about the future, let’s talk about the now, which will obviously include some Back to the Future news. In today’s Gaming Daily: Nintendo celebrates BTTF day with Wild Gunman, the last Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video, a demo of the new virtual reality Paranormal Activity game, P.T. meets Crimson Peak, and new BTTF DLC is now available in Little Big Planet 3.
Nintendo Celebrates Back to the Future with Wild Gunman
Nintendo has decided to join today’s festivities by announcing the release of Wild Gunman. Many will recognize this gem from the part in Back to the Future II, when Marty goes into the café and shows the kids his hip firing skills. The title is only available in the European Virtual Console, but there is still hope for those of us in North America since the Wii U shop updates tomorrow. Hopefully we can also get in on the fun.
Fans of the films know that the cabinet seen in the film uses a toy gun, so this time around you’ll have to use your Wii remote to recapture the feeling. What makes this so rad is that the game has never been re-released. It’s not the greatest game, but hey, at least we can have some Back to the Future fun on our Nintendo hardware.

New Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. explains luck attribute.
By the time you get your hands on Fallout 4 you should be well-versed on all the attributes that make your character special. Today, Bethesda released the last educational video which featured luck. By investing in this skill tree, you’ll be able to find better loot when searching through chests, and can even increase the likelihood of landing critical hits on your opponents. It’s a nifty attribute that will come in handy when roaming the wasteland. Peep the video above.

Paranormal Activity game coming to VR
Getting tired of simply watching scary films? Ever want to just jump into the horror flick because you know you’d be better at surviving the terror depicted on screen? A virtual reality Paranormal Activity (from the films) game has been announced, and will be demoed at select AMC Theaters for free on October 22-24. It’s being sponsored by Paramount Pictures, HTC, Epic Games, Valve, and Nvidia, so check the list below to see if there’s a demo location near you.

If there is one video game genre that’s absolutely perfect for virtual reality, it’s horror. We live in a time where there aren’t many horror games, and it’s mostly because the genre doesn’t sell well. But, everything could change with VR. This new technology is all about being completely immersive, which happens to lend itself well to survival horror experiences. That’s why this announcement makes so much sense.
Companies that have heavily invested in this technology have also found that the best way to impress people is by allowing them to try the gear out themselves. This event accomplishes that goal. This game will become available without needing VR on PS4, Xbox One, and PC at a later time.

P.T. meets Crimson Peak.
The cancellation of P.T. will live on in infamy. Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but there is no denying the impact the playable trailer had in the gaming world. A Silent Hill game with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro at the helm sounded like the perfect creative blend. Unfortunately, Konami had no interest in continuing said game, despite it having so much positive feedback from the community. So, instead of dwelling on what could have been, here’s a mash up of GdT’s Crimson Peak and P.T. The perfect combo shows del Toro’s uncanny gothic style. Now imagine that in a full game…I know, it’s incredibly depressing to think about what could have been.

You got some Back to the Future in my Little Big Planet 3
You didn’t think Nintendo would be the only game company to join the BTTF fun, did you?
Sony has announced new BTTF content for Little Big Planet 3 which brings your favorite characters from the film into the game. A new level is available for download which includes some time traveling madness, and a hoverboard. Costumes, music, a background, stickers, and such are also available for purchase separately.
I can’t wait for the community to use these tools to make some epic levels.
