Happy Monday everybody! Sure, Mondays are probably the toughest part of the week, but the good thing about this Monday in particular is that it is exactly one week before the E3 fun begins–aside from the Bethesda conference which takes place on Sunday. In a week’s time, we’ll hear what Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will be bringing to our pricy gaming devices. In the meantime, we’re here to keep you informed and up to date. In today’s Gaming Daily: modders have outdone themselves and recreated Vice City in Grand Theft Auto V, Epic Games announced that Fortnite is coming to Mac, and Super Meat Boy is coming to the PS4, and PS Vita.

See, what did I tell you in the GTA V IRL post earlier today? We just can’t get enough Grand Theft Auto in our lives. The video at the top of the page hit the web yesterday and we couldn’t be happier. According to the video’s description, the modders behind the map took about two years to create a playable version of Vice City, and boy is it brilliant.
Though the mod isn’t available yet, YouTube user taltigolt uploaded a twelve minute tour of Tommy Vercetti’s pink sports car-filled world. Included are several recreated buildings, a beautiful sunset, and ALL the palm trees you could ever want. It definitely brings back fond memories of trekking the fictional city based on Miami.
Super Meat Boy is coming to PS4 and PS Vita This Year
Are you ready to have a bloody good time? According to a post on the PlayStation blog, Team Meat is FINALLY bringing their critically acclaimed, 2010 title Super Meat Boy to two of Sony’s consoles. The title is slated to hit both the PS4 and the PS Vita later this year. What’s more delightful is that it will be available completely free of charge for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
In the post, Tommy Refenes–who co-developed the indie title with Edmund McMillen–explains how they were unable to bring the title to PlayStation consoles for “very complicated reasons”. It wasn’t until some time earlier this year that the duo was finally allowed to port the Xbox 360 and PC game over to Sony’s consoles.
On being free on PlayStation Plus, he remarked, “That’s our way of saying ‘Thank you for waiting patiently†to all those PlayStation fans that reached out to us over the years only to get back a “we can’t do it, sorry†response. We love you guys and girls and we’re so happy that you can finally play Super Meat Boy on your system of choice!

Epic Games’ Fortnite is also coming to Mac.
If you thought Fortnite–which was revealed back in 2011–looked like a sweet game, but was bummed because you weren’t going to be able to play it on your Mac, rejoice! Epic Games took the stage at Apple’s WWDC keynote today to reveal that the title will also be making its way to Mac OS X.
A representative from Epic Games told Polygon, “We’re targeting desktops for Mac, and the Mac version will be supported along with PC for the closed beta that starts later this year.”
During their time on stage, the company’s own Josh Adams and Bill Bramer showed off an impressive demo which was built using Apple’s Metal technology–which was announced just a few days ago for iOS 8. According to the keynote, Metal will be integrated in Mac’s new OS El Capitan which will be releasing this fall.
