The GAME OF THRONES Theme As Played by Calculators

Maesters in the Seven Kingdoms get a new link on their chain when they have shown mastery over a specific field of study, and those who train in math and economics receive a yellow gold link. But what exactly qualifies as “mastery” for math in Westeros? Is it balancing the house books? Keeping track of debts and loans? Because we think this calculator musician should get an honorary chain link from the Citadel after playing the Game of Thrones theme song on them.

This video is the latest from the YouTube channel It’s a small world, whose rendition of the Star Wars theme song we told you about recently. Using four calculators lined up like the world’s weirdest keyboard, composer Ramin Djawadi’s iconic theme for the show is transformed into an unlikely synth that epic math students should play when they walk into class on the day of a big test.

I will never understand how someone can teach themselves how to do this, and I doubt there’s a dusty old book in the Citadel that could teach me. And not just because they don’t have calculators in Westeros.

Clearly this is worthy of a yellow gold link for math, but the problem is there is no formal study of music offered to maesters, so there’s no way on the chain to signify when they are great musicians. So what should they make one out of? Hit play on your best idea in the comments below.
