GAME OF THRONES’ Natalie Dormer Joins the Cast of MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA

We were pretty pumped when Kit Harington (Jon Snow) joined the cast of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare last year, after joining several other members of the cast in Telltale’s Game of Thrones game.  Now, another Game of Thrones vet is set to join the cast of one of our most highly anticipated games, Mass Effect: Andromeda—and we’re kind of freaking out because two of our favorite nerd worlds just collided.

Bioware took to the web today to reveal that Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) is voicing Lexi T’Perro, an Asari doctor aboard the Tempest in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Check out the announcement video above!

Here’s everything we know about Mass Effect: Andromeda so far.

According to Creative Director Mac Walters, Lexi’s job is to “analyze the people around her.” He shared, “I think from a player-facing perspective, the fact that you go can to Lexi and get opinions from her about how you’re playing the game and how people are reacting to the decisions you’re making is a nice nod to some of the choices the player is making in the game.”

She’ll be the first character Ryder encounters when he first wakes up. According to Walters, it was important to the team that they create a character who was both interesting and compassionate. But the realistic attention to detail didn’t stop there. Bioware also aimed to create characters that seem like their lives are going on even when you’re not around. Lexi, for instance, has a rivalry with one character and romantic tension with another. Given that meticulous attention to detail and character development, we can’t wait to see how everything plays out in the game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin for PC on March 23, 2017.
