GAME OF THRONES is Getting Its Own Convention

Attention, all ye who live in the Realm—a new celebration of ice and fire has made its way to the Game of Thrones fandom. After years of having to head to all those regular conventions, which only feature George R.R. Martin’s work, the Con of Thrones will be all Westeros, all the time when it hits up Nashville in 2017.

Announced—and created by—the folks at Watchers on the Wall, the convention will take place over 4th of July weekend, starting June 30th, 2017 in Nashville, TN. According to the site’s announcement, “[t]his convention is led by die-hard fans of the series, no detail will go unnoticed. The time is right to celebrate this phenomenon with people and new friends who love it most.”

Details are harder to find than a secret Targaryen—mostly because the team over at Watchers has to still put the whole thing together. We can only hope that the con will involve an actual, honest-to-goodness Cleganebowl, a baking session with Hot Pie, free dragon rides, rowing around the river at the Grand Ol’ Opry with Gendry, child sacrifices in fire, and an accidental familial orgy with your siblings (uh, just totally kidding about those last two—we hope).

What would you like to see at a Game of Thrones convention? Are you going to attend? And will any of you pay for me to attend? (For the Watch, natch.) Let us know in the comments below!

Oh, and speaking of Gendry—Where Is He??
