Game of Thrones might have taught us about the perils of ruling, but since we doubt our bannermen will ever name us king or queen we’ll never be able to apply those lessons. Fortunately the show has also offered information we can actually use, like how we should never give up on the gravy when making a meat pie, or why it’s worth the effort to brown the butter first when making a crust. And we’re not the only one taking those cooking tips to heart, since Hot Pie himself as opened his own bakery selling his famous direwolf breads.
Actor Ben Hawkey’s new business, which we learned about at HYPEBEAST, sells great looking direwolf breads, like the ones he made for Arya (not the first one, that looked like a brown marshmallow). And because any and all things related to Game of Thrones must be given a pun name, he calls his new bakery “You Know Nothing Jon Dough.”
We’ll allow it.
The breads, “made from wholewheat cornbread with orange zest,” are sold exclusively through the UK food delivery service Deliveroo, and cost 1 Euro each (about $1.16 American). However there’s some bad news, because even though they just went on sale this month to coincide with the show’s season seven premiere, they are already not accepting orders. Our guess is they’ve been such a hit with fans they can’t keep up with demand.
Which is totally understandable, because we’re always hungry for anything Game of Thrones related, and when it comes to seeing Hot Pie’s food we mean that literally. However, we demand these be sold in America right now. Hot Pie is the best, and we’re jealous watching other people enjoy his food.
