GAME OF THRONES’ Creators Apologize for Sunday, But Not for the Part You’d Think

Hey, buddy. How you holding up since Sunday night? Not good? Yeah, I’m still a complete mess myself, far more than I was even after Ned was executed, or following the Red Wedding, or even when the Mountain squeezed Oberyn’s head like a ripe orange. (After typing all that out I’m really starting to wonder why I do this to myself.)

Yeah, this week’s episode was the saddest yet. Maybe that’s why Game of Thrones creators D.B Weiss and David Benioff felt the need to say they were sorry this time… though not for shredding our hearts into little pieces, but for the Internet reaction to follow.

Young-Hodor
Weiss and Benioff, and their massive pile of money built on a trade of dead characters and emotionally distraught viewers, visited Jimmy Kimmel Live to give a heartfelt apology about what Hodor‘s death means for all of us going forward in life.

“We’re sorry for all the idiots who from now on will be shouting ‘Hodor’ every time you go through a door,” said Benioff.

“We forgot how annoying people can be—that’s our bad,” added Weiss.

Forgetting how annoying that will be/already is, we just don’t need our feelings to come pouring out of us anytime we try to be polite and hold the door for someone. We just don’t need a constant reminder of poor Hodor.

“Again, so, so sorry. People are the worst.”

What other annoying things do people say or do now because of Game of Thrones? Tell us what irks you in the comments below.
