FURIOUS 7 Revs Up Glorious Action Goodness in First Trailer

The Fast & Furious franchise is a perplexing beast. Originally started as a fun one-off that spawned two okay but not great sequels (admittedly, some may disagree concerning Tokyo Drift), the series was, at one time, destined for a straight-to-video future. But then Vin Diesel and Paul Walker realized they weren’t done having their fun, and the trilogy to end all trilogies was born (that of course being Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6). Now with the series continuity finally caught up with the events of Tokyo Drift, it’s time for the gang to embark on a journey of revenge for fallen comrade, Han. But rather than continuing to ramble, how about we just how you what you came here to see: the first trailer for the franchise’s latest, Furious 7:

Did they just… like… drive off a plane… THAT WAS FLYING?! Do we even need to discuss more? Well too bad because we’re about to.

With every new Fast & Furious movie, you think, “there’s no way they’re gonna top that crazy scene from the last one.” With Fast Five it was Dom’s cop car pinball game, with Fast Six it was Dom breaking his fall with a car windshield. The point is, whatever crazy moment Furious 7 has in store, we’re sure it’s somehow going to involve Dom and the awesome pile of awesomeness that is his crew.

The franchise may have lost series favorite director Justin Lin, but it totally appears James Wan took the mantle and ran with it for his first dip in the action pool. Though, if anyone gets caught in a crazy, life threatening trap, we won’t be shocked.
