Funko’s ONE-PUNCH MAN Vinyl Figures Are Supernaturally Strong

Knocking out any and all opposing forces with just a single punch might get a bit old if you’re the one doing it, but we don’t see ourselves getting tired of watching Saitama. One-Punch Man‘s first season established the show as one of the best anime around today with its pitch-perfect combination of humor and action, and while that was a couple of years ago, at least it’s confirmed that we now have a second season to look forward to.

There could still be plenty of time to kill before then, but Funko’s latest series of vinyl figures ought to make the wait a bit easier. This August, we’ll be able to get our hands on a few vinyl, and speaking of hands, a nice touch on the Saitama figure is the grocery bag he’s holding. That detail might seem insignificant, but it really helps convey the type of character Saitama is: A person who has a world-changing power who ultimately wants some level of normalcy in his life.

His cyborg sidekick Genos is getting a figure of his own as well, reminding us that even without your real arms, you can still be a hero.

Villains come and go in One-Punch Man, but the penultimate challengers of Saitama’s strength in the first season were the Dark Matter Pirates, led by Lord Boros. The dude has an estimated danger level of Dragon+, so he’s a real threat, even though his Funko figure is kind of super cute.

If you want cute, though, the miniature Saitama keychain ought to scratch that itch.
