Funko Reveals STRANGER THINGS Action Figures Are Coming Soon

Last summer, Stranger Things became an unexpected breakout hit for Netflix, and fans have fully embraced the ’80s nostalgia horror created by Ross and Matt Duffer. That’s one of the reasons that the soundtrack for the first season is getting a release on cassette tape. If the show had actually been released in the ’80s then there probably have been Stranger Things action figures as well. But that’s not a hypothetical anymore, because Stranger Things toys are coming this summer!

Stranger Things Action Figures 2

Funko has revealed the first wave of its Stranger Things action figures. To start, there will be two three-packs of characters from the series. The first set features Will Byers, Dustin Henderson (with hand specifically sculpted to hold his pudding can), and our old buddy the Demogorgon!

We would have preferred it if the Demogorgon was significantly taller than the kids. But that’s not a bad mix of characters. The second three-pack features Eleven, Lucas Sinclair, and Mike Wheeler. It’s also got some very appropriate accessories for the kids, including a walkie-talkie for Mike, binoculars and a slingshot for Lucas, and Eggo waffles for Eleven. In fact, it looks like Eleven is also sporting a bloody nose, just as she did on the show.Stranger Things Action Figures 1The tentative release date for these figures is August of this year, but pre-orders don’t appear to be open yet. There’s no telling if or when a second wave of Stranger Things figures will be released. However, we would suggest that Funko go with these three-packs: Joyce Byers, Chief Jim Hopper, and Martin Brenner; as well as Jonathan Byers, Nancy Wheeler, and Battle Damage Steve Harrington. But if Funko really wants to get ’80s on us, then the mail away action figure should be Barb Holland.
