Get Baby Nifflers with Funko’s New FANTASTIC BEASTS Collection

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald looks to be a much darker, more personal story than the first film, with the second entry in the Harry Potter prequels bringing us further into the lore and history of the wizarding world. But if the newest collection from Funko is any indication, the film will still be a Fantastic Beasts movie, because plenty of creatures–both adorable and terrifying– will have a big role to play, including some very famous legendary ones Muggles know about.

Funko announced a number of new items for the film, and the two most intriguing might be Pops! for two creatures we have heard of in real life, but haven’t met in the wizarding world before. One is a glow-in-the-dark Matagot, an evil creature found in France (the primary setting of the movie) often said to look like a black cat. The other is the Chupacabra, another legendary monster. While stories about Chupacabras sightings are found around the world, they are most closely associated with Puerto Rico and the American Southwest. This might point to the movie returning to the U.S. at some point, the location of the first film.

Hot Topic will also have a much angrier, gnarly-looking Chupacabra as an exclusive.

The other new Pop figures include some characters we can’t wait to see in action, baby Nifflers. They will come in dual sets, with the black and gray Niffler two-pack only available at BoxLunch.

And because it’s always nice to bring adorable creatures with you wherever you go, they will also come in key chain form.

The film will also have its own set of Mystery Mini figures. The set has more beasts than wizards, but it does include Jude Law’s young Dumbledore.

The rest of the collection features new plushies, with a Bowtruckle and Threstral joining the baby nifflers, as well as pen toppers that also feature a Matagot and Chupacabra.

All of these new products will be available this fall, ahead of The Crimes of Grindelwald‘s release on November 16.

But if you claim to see a chupacabra before that people are still going to think you’re crazy.
