I consumed the last 12 eps or so over the last 2 weeks, and I cannot get enough of this show. So, yeah, thank God for this renewal.

  2. Rob says:

Some of us are not fans. While I’m glad you all get to continue to watch a show you love, for me, it was too distracting to watch the science go out the window so quickly and so often. It’s frustrating to see a sci-fi show which was, for me, mildly interesting, soldier on while the likes of Terriers (ok, not so sci fi), Rubicon (probably a lot of crossover for the sci fi crowd) and Dollhouse all got the axe. One can’t but help wonder if the execs are right and they have to cater to the lowest common denominator.

  3. Wade says:

I think that’d be a pretty good idea for Fringe, Eric. It worked well enough for LOST. Even if a person doesn’t like the resolution of LOST, the writers did focus a lot and did turn out some masterful stuff when they had decided on just how much time they had and needed. Regardless of the opinions on the resolution, the writers felt they had gotten to where they wanted to be. Maybe the details are debatable, but I think the structure and design of the last 3 seasons of that show were excellent.

I would hope Fringe could meet a similar end. Maybe the producers could negotiate this next season and maybe one more and then we can see the show wind to some kind of resolution without it being tacked on or forced, and then it wouldn’t leave us hanging by getting canceled before they finish the stories they could tell.

  4. Eric says:

While Fringe is one of my favorite shows, I hope so gorram much that the show will be the first to come to a natural end instead of a network-mandated one.

I would love to know that a show was going to be 3 seasons long, no more and no less. Then I could feel comfortable getting into it from the very beginning knowing that the network won’t cancel it or that it won’t overstay its welcome. I’m not bothering with V or The Event for these very reasons.

  5. Robin Burks says:

I have to admit, I was nervous when Fox moved the show to Fridays. But this is great news! YAY!!! This season has been amazing so far.

  6. Amanda says:

I knew those virgin sacrifices would pay off.

  7. Wade says:

Hooray. I think I saw a pig fly outside my window because FOX never renews shows like this with the kind of ratings they have had this year, especially rough given they shoved them in a tough time slot. I guess Fringe has the right fan in the decision makers at FOX.

  8. Cheri says:

YAY! This is such great news! I agree with the above comment, it’s one of the only shows I’ve seen that just keeps getting better and better. When they finally decided to let their sci-fi flag wave proudly, it instantly became one of my favs. Maybe I’ll have a strawberry milkshake and some red vines to celebrate 😉

  9. AMEN! That show has only gotten more amazing with every season. And Anna Torv as William Bell?! That woman can do no wrong. Emmy nod?? Helloooo?

  10. If any show ever was gonna survive the Friday Night Death Slot, you know it was gonna be the show about re-animation ,clones, alternate realities, soul magnets, and other things that seemingly break the laws of nature! HUZZAH!

  11. Jonathan says:

    Fucking yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!

  12. Marc says:

Woot!! I have loved this show ever since it first came on and I hate thinking that Fox decides on whether it stays on the air.

Glad to see they have made the right decision!

    😀

  13. Nate says:

    THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!
