FRIENDS, MEAN GIRLS, BATMAN & ROBIN and More Coming to Netflix in January 2015!

Let’s be real. The real star of Netflix’s January slate is Friends, the ultra-90s TV behemoth that shaped haircuts, NYC apartment expectations, and an audience ranging from teens to adults to lil ol’ me. Yes: Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe are making their way to streaming today, so you can spend your New Years weekend with a hearty binge-watch (and perhaps a celebration of the end of your productivity)!

Friends

Though we’re (obviously) pleased as punch that our pals will be available whenever we need a pick-me-up, those famed twenty-somethings are not the only ones making their way to Netflix this January. There’s a whole slew of delectable goodies to feast on while you’re working out at the gym or practicing whatever other fruitless resolutions you’ve made for the month.

Being Human: Season 4 (Season 4, January 13)
Wolfblood (Season 3, January 15)
The Adventures of Puss in Boots (Season 1, January 16)
The Fall (Season 2, January 16)
Beauty & the Beast (Season 2, January 28)

Hoo boy, that’s a lot of new stuff. There are some serious stand outs in here, from Mean Girls to The French Connection, The Fall, White Collar, and the first season of Z Nation. BUT, as always with Netflix, there are some sleeper hits hidden in this list. For example, arguably the worst Batman movie of the entire universe, Batman & Robin, directed by Joel Schumacher and starring George Clooney, Chris O’Donnell, Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and those pesky Batsuit nipples. When was the last time you watched this atrocity? It might be time for a little skip down memory lane. Preferably accompanied by the Batman & Robin drinking game, which is basically just drinking every time there’s a bad ice or plant pun. GODSPEED.

Netflix is also offering John Favreau’s feel good foodie flick (say that ten times fast) Chef, which is well worth a watch. You can also relive Bad Boys II, Castaway, Election, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, AND Wayne’s World 2, so, looks like your month is going to be preeeeettty booked.

Which shows and movies are you looking forward to watching? Which Friends friend is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below or chat with me about it on Twitter @RachelHeine!
