Fox’s ADHD Adds Hilarious Lyrics to THE LEGEND OF ZELDA Theme Song

By now, you’ve probably heard the classic theme song to The Legend of Zelda about a million times, for a good reason. It’s goosebump-inducing in all the right ways. When the little chime goes off, you know it’s time for the grandest of adventures. Without a doubt, it has been ingrained in many gamers’ hearts, including this gamer in particular. Like the protagonist of our adventures, no words are ever whispered in the classic tune—until now. Fox’s Animation Domination High-Def (ADHD) has added lyrics to the track that are both hilarious and accurate in the above animated short.

Titled, “Songs You Didn’t Know Had Lyrics”, the short sums up the tall tale of our mute hero, “clad in green”, but focuses on some of the sillier aspects of his journeys. You might not have noticed it while having a grand old time with the games, but Link sure does have an obsession with breaking pots, cutting grass, and completely ignoring the urgent task at hand. He’d much rather complete a non consequential side quest than go out and save princess Zelda and Hyrule. Take a gander at the video above.

Though the franchise has birthed many classic melodies, none are more recognizable than this one. Originally the catchy 8-bit tune introduces to the player to the open world of the original title. Who would have thought it was going to have such a lasting appeal? Make sure to slash your way onto the comments section below to let us know what you think about the lyrical magic occurring in the animation.
