FORTNITE’s New Update Added Green Screens and Fans Are Going Wild

Fortnite has come so far since it opened alpha invites back in 2014: It’s out in the world now, and the free-to-play co-op shooter has become so massive that Drake is streaming himself playing and demolishing Twitch viewership records in the process. Part of the appeal of Fortnite, aside from how accessible and just downright fun it is, is how frequently and substantially it gets updated. The season 4 update just launched, which means new map locations, which means that players are discovering a bunch of wacky new things they can do in the game.

For example, in multiple locations (including Risky Reels and Moisty Mire), you can find rooms that are set up like film sets, complete with cameras, monitors, and most crucially, green screens, as PCGamesN notes. Naturally, the more video-savvy fans of the game are embracing this opportunity to put their characters in whatever environments they want, and so far, the results have been positively delightful.

The green screens were only just discovered, so it’s going to take players a minute to really get in there and squeeze maximum joy and silliness from them, but the video at the top of this post, from YouTube user GameNight, shows what we must do. It is imperative that we make our characters dance in every scenario we can think of, even if that means succumbing to the storm and sacrificing a round.

Do you have any ideas about the best ways to harness this new power that Fortnite has gifted the world? Sound off in the comments below!
