Aw, yeah! The season of Halloween treats, tasty cornbread, and candy canes is almost upon us. But nothing quite sweetens the pot like the word “free,” and the deal that Microsoft is offering up next week feels synonymous to taking candy from a baby. From September 7 through September 13, buying an Xbox One at participating U.S. retailers will score you a free game along with your console purchase.
The offer is good toward any physical copy of Xbox One retail games, and can also be applied to bundles as well (like the Forza 5 or Madden NFL 15 bundles). So basically, you could walk away with an Xbox One and two free games if you take advantage of this.
The boys in green couldn’t have picked a better week for this promotion, with the release of Destiny falling right within the deal’s window. This is quite the persuasive move by the Xbox camp, leveraging the release of the possibly the year’s most popular game and many gamers’ top reason for making the jump into the new generation of console hardware. This is also just the start of a holiday season full of price cuts and exclusive promotional offers, so please, go grab the broom and dustpan. I’ll grab the hammer and shatter the piggy bank.
