The amount of creativity that has come out of the internet’s communal love of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road is astounding. I love it when one title gets people excited and thinking both critically and artistically because then we get some really awesome things to look at.
Case in point today is this beauty: a Doof Warrior convoy made of LEGO. A Flickr user named LEGO Will has cooked up a brick version of the universe’s favorite blind musician (sorry, Jose Feliciano), complete with a wagon full of war drummers and other assorted chrome heads from Immortan Joe’s death squad. And the coolest thing, even more than it existing in the first place — the speakers on it actually work… For the reals, yo.
A full gallery of the whole shebang is below. As you might guess, it’s a massively detailed piece of work. Especially awesome are the drummers on the back, the harpoonist overseeing them, and that one guy on the driver’s side who has a trumpet. A trumpet! Makes us wonder if there’s a whole band of Doofs out there in the desert, each with their own accompanying backing band. Perhaps a Doof sousaphonist?
And, what fun the Doof Warrior seems to be having as he bounces and shreds atop his deafening steed. Also, his third album is called Deafening Steed, so you guys can pick that up at some point. You know, once CDs start existing again in the post-apocalypse.
Let us know how awesome you think this LEGO Doof Wagon is in the comments below!
