First Look at THE FLASH’S Deathstorm and Killer Frost

The Flash is heading to Earth-2 in the near future, but Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) may not like what he finds there! One of Team Flash’s own members, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), has an evil Earth-2 counterpart named Killer Frost. On top of that, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) isn’t dead in this world. But instead of the heroic Firestorm, this version of Ronnie is the supervillain known as Deathstorm.

Entertainment Weekly has posted the first few official images of Panabaker and Amell as Killer Frost and Deathstorm. And judging by their proximity to each other, Evil Ronnie and Caitlin may still be a couple on this world despite the other changes to their personalities.

Deathstorm and Killer Frost 1

“Some of these people are beyond different,” explained The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, “[Wells] seems so different until you start seeing the crazy differences between all of our other cast members. Then he’s the one who doesn’t seem quite so different and crazy anymore.”

Caitlin Snow’s heel turn has been expected since her presence in the show was announced prior to the premiere. In DC’s comic book universe, Killer Frost was always a villainess. The introduction of Earth-2 will allow The Flash creative team to use Caitlin’s supervillainess persona without losing one of the series’ leading heroines.

Deathstorm and Killer Frost 2

During an appearance on The Talk last fall, Panabaker hinted that she would finally get to participate in some of The Flash’s superhero battles. “I get so jealous. All of the boys get to go out there and duke it out, I wanna suit up with those boys for sure!”

There may also be some unexpected doppelgangers introduced in The Flash’s Earth-2 episode. Kreisberg told EW that “there’s a couple of surprises that we’ve got in store that we’re really excited about.”

The Flash season 2 will return on Tuesday, January 19 on The CW.
