It’s a beautiful thing when fandoms unite, and next Thursday, Human Beings and Brown Coats will merge in a glorious mash-up when Nathan Fillion guest stars on NBC’s Community. The dreamy rapscallion we all know and love from Firefly, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, and Castle (and the Nerdist Podcast!) will join Greendale Community College as “Bob Waite, the politically savvy head custodian who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty but is smart enough to wear rubber gloves.”

Fillion’s dropped by the Community set before just for funsies, but now we’ve got an actual, bona fide episode to watch! We’ve done the impossible, and that makes us mighty. Community is also no stranger to Firefly references (“We’re gonna get that show back on the air, buddy!”), so we can expect a sly wink here or there at the very least. Knowing Dan Harmon, “Analysis of Cork-Based Networking” will be full of shiny.
