It’s hard to believe that it took 20 years of E3 for this to occur. But none of that matters anymore, because it’s coming to fruition now! The first ever E3 press conference dedicated specifically to PC games will happen this year on June 16, at the Belasco Theater in downtown LA. The event is being put together in a collaboration between AMD and PC Gamer. Companies expected to take the stage at the press conference include Blizzard, Square Enix, Obsidian, Paradox Interactive, Devolver Digital, and many more. Boss Key Productions CEO Cliff Bleszinski is also scheduled to make an appearance, most likely to discuss his studio’s upcoming title Project BlueStreak.
“The PC Gaming Show embodies the spirit of innovation, openness and community that’s part of our DNAâdelivered by gamers, for gamers,” AMD Corporate VP Matt Skynner stated. “The time is right for a PC-focused event in the week of E3 and we’re honored to be part of bringing the industry together.”
The event will be hosted by eSports commentator and former StarCraft pro Sean “Day9” Plott, and will be live-streamed on Twitch for those unable to attend. More details are forthcoming though what’s been revealed today is definitely worth a few celebration toast. Finally, some E3 loving for the MUTHAF$*#ING PC MASTER… er, platform.
