Did you know it’s legal to buy your own flamethrower? Earlier this year, Elon Musk claimed to have sold over 7 million flamethrowers. But some of the truly adventurous have decided to build their own flamethrowers. This definitely isn’t for everyone, but the host of Jairus of All has posted a video on his YouTube channel which shows off his insanely powerful Fire Vortex Cannon. It’s perfect if you want to destroy a city or go full supervillain. But unless you really want to get burned, it’s an activity best left to the experts.
Jairus originally posted his video back in November, but it’s currently making the rounds again thanks to stories on The Awesomer and Sploid. In the footage, Jairus briefly explains how he was able to create the Vortex Cannon and how it functions. For the truly curious, Jarius invited viewers to check out his official site, which lists some of the parts that went into the build. Would you believe a Nerf gun was used in this creation? The overall design may not be very practical, but it produces some amazing flames which would be right at home on the cover of a heavy metal album.
Several of Jarius’ previous builds have featured variations on a flamethrower. But this Fire Tornado Gun is an earlier incarnation of the Fire Vortex Cannon. Even in this form, it was still very powerful!
