Adventure Time fans: Your wait for more Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat is over! They’re coming back for their third appearance in the animated series at the end of this month in “The Prince Who Wanted Everything.” Adventure will abound, and hilarity and hijinks will ensue as the duo teams up with Lumpy Space Prince. He’s decided to run away from his mean parents and begin a new life.

Never heard of Fionna and Cake? Fionna is the gender swapped version of Finn. You might have noticed the similarities in their outfits. She was created in fan fiction written by the Ice King. Yeah, it’s kind of gross – not the fan fiction part, the Ice King part. Fortunately though, she’s a fantastic character with a plucky feline companion named Cake (get it, the name rhymes with Jake). Their personalities mirror Finn and Jake’s. They were introduced in the third season of Adventure Time in “Fionna and Cake” and appeared in the fifth season episode “Bad Little Boy.”

The duo is brought to life by Madeleine Martin (Fionna) and Roz Ryan (Cake). Lumpy Space Prince is voiced by Peter Serafinowicz. He’s known for many roles, but I’ll always remember him as the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. I guess he’s also pretty okay as Cut-Rate James Mason in Archer.
